Cheluvina chittara below average movie

Cheluvina Chittara Review

Director: S.Narayan
Producer: S.Narayan
Music: Mano Murthy
Cast:Ganesh, Amoolya, Komal, Sureshchandra, Asharani

Brilliant director S.Narayan seems to have lost his magic touch, as his latest film Cheluvina Chittara, a remake of that brilliant Tamil film Kadhal is unimpressive and lacks nativity.
Madesha (Comedy Time Ganesh) is an illiterate mechanic of two wheelers. He falls in love with Aishwarya (Amoolya) a school going girl rich girl, daughter of an affluent man in the area. The lovers elope and Komal helps them arrange for fake documents for a registered marriage. Aishwarya’s parents are on their trial. Just after register marriage and tying the sacred Mangalasutra on a footpath, Aishwarya's uncle tracks them down the young couple. Promising that everything would be fine, Madesha and Aishwarya are brought home where a major shock awaits them.
There is nothing new and it is a morbid love story with a presentation as old as hills. Comedy Time Ganesh has to immediately rethink about his career and not accept this type of inconsequential subjects. Amoolya looks too young as in real life also she is studying in 9th standard. Komal is the only saving grace of this film.
Mano Murthy gives three lovely tunes and continues to be the king of music in Kannada cinema. The original tune scored by Joshwa Sridhar – a pathetic song is very well composed. Chetan has sung ‘Janumadha Gelaya….’ in Kannada. Das has once again given excellent cinematography.
Sify Verdict – Below average
