Devi Sri Prasad to turn hero? in Sify.com

Devi Sri Prasad, known for his lively performances during almost all Tollywood-related functions, is likely to don the mantle of a hero. He entered the film industry as a music director and soon established his position by giving chartbusters like Shankardada MBBS, Varsham, Bommarillu etc.
It is said a writer by name Purushottam has readied a story in the backdrop of music and approached Devi Sri and even convinced him that he alone would do justice to the story. However, a source close to Devi Sri Prasad said "Instead of calling the lead actor as hero, you can call him as the protagonist. Music is the real hero of the film."

A few years back, R. P Patnaik another top music director too had jumped on to the screen as hero with Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi, a remake of a Malayalam film which bombed. Later Patnaik almost faded out as a music director. So DSP has to be extremely careful about his acting bug, and should not neglect his booming career as a hot shot music director.
