Ramesh's second movie in Rediff
Kannada actor-director Ramesh Arvind is a confident man these days. And his confidence stems from his latest venture Sathyavan Savithri, which is releasing on Friday.
"I promise that this film will be better than my first venture, Rama Shaama Bhaama," he says.
"Family audiences will love it because it has comedy, and youngsters will like it because it is entertaining. I am sure this film will be a very big hit," he says confidently.
Describing the feeling, the filmmaker says, "I've never felt like this when I made Rama Shaama Bhaama." In fact the actor-director was planning another film when Pal Chandani and his son, the producers of Sathyavan Saavithri approached him. "Thankfully my friend and writer Rajendra Karanth was more than helpful in developing the script at such a short period," he says.
"We switched off our mobiles and started writing the script and worked for 24 hours. In no time, the script was ready. Karanth, an experienced hand in writing dialogues, wrote the dialogues as we shot the songs," he adds.

The film is a continuous laugh riot and has three beautiful girls in it -- Jennifer, Daisy Bopanna and Nethra.
"Jennifer plays a confused modern girl, while Daisy Bopanna is the traditional one. I am introducing Canada-based Nethra in another important role. I feel I've won half the battle because I got these three wonderful girls!"
"Artists like Anirudhdh, Mohan, Komal and veteran actor Daththanna just fit in their roles. This is a promise I can make to the audience. The film is bound to keep the audience in splits!" the director promises.

This is Jogi girl Jennifer's first full-fledged glamorous role in Kannada films.
"So far I have only acted as a traditional girl. I played the role of a journalist in Jogi and was a traditional girl in Masti," she says.
"In my forthcoming release, Ugadi also, my role is not glamorous. So, I enjoyed doing this one. Ramesh is a fantastic director."

This is the second film with Ramesh as actor and director for Daisy Bopanna.
"In this film you will see me in a different role," she says.
"My role has a lot of scope for comedy and I am really excited about it. After this, I'm sure that I will be viewed as an actress capable of performing a variety of roles," she adds.

Anirudhdh was seen in a small role in RSB, but in Sathyvana Savithri his role is much bigger.
"I feel Ramesh should concentrate more on direction in future. He has a tremendous sense of comedy which not many have," he says of the filmmaker.
But it is up to the audience to decide if Ramesh Arvind should concentrate more on acting or direction, and whether the success of Rama Shaama Bhama was not just a flash in the pan!
