Shilpa not invited for Apne show! in Midday

Shilpa Shetty is miffed with the Deols for not giving her passes to Red Lounge, at Cinemax, Versova, during the premiere of Apne. Apne hue parayeSays an eyewitness, “Just before the screening, Shilpa realised she was given passes for screen four. Shilpa thought the Deols would include her in the Red Lounge because she is a part of the film.” Shilpa plays Sunny’s wife in the film and has been talking highly about the film. “Shilpa is extremely fond of the Deols and was taken aback on being left out. She didn’t feel like a part of the unit,” says our eyewitness. However, she was courteous enough not to make an issue and just walked out of the auditorium as the film began. The buzz is that Shilpa didn’t want to be in the same auditorium as Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. “Shilpa is a very big name after her international fame in Big Brother show. It was a bit humiliating for a star like her to sit and watch the film in a normal screen,” says a friend of Shilpa. When we contacted Cinemax, they confirmed that Shilpa and her sister Shamita were given tickets for screen four. “Most of the stars were given screen three and screen four, because the Red Lounge was kept especially for Dharmendra, senior actors and certain ministers. Shilpa is a big star and we’d love to treat her with utmost honour and dignity,” says Girish Wankede from Cinemax. Shilpa Shetty was unavailable for comment. But her publicist says, “Shilpa is too cool a person to think like that. She doesn’t get hassled about such things anyway. There was a private show, arranged by the makers, specially for her and her family the next day at the Fun Republic preview theatre and Shilpa had a whale of a time cheering for the Deols.”
