Salman & Govinda in Mumbai Mirror
The friendship is really blooming. And it's blooming on the sets of Partner. Apparently there's great rapport between Salman Khan and Govinda and they're already talking about encoring their characters all over again in a sequel.

Govinda and Salman"Why just a sequel? I'd like to make the Salman-Govinda jodi a continuous source of entertainment," says their director David Dhawan. "In Partner, Salman plays Prem for the umpteenth time. Sallu wanted to use that name in my film, and I agreed. After all, the name has clicked for Salman in Sooraj Barjatya's cinema. Meanwhile Govinda plays Bhaskar Diwakar Chowdhary. The Prem-Bhaskar duo are a laugh riot, that can be developed into a Munnabhai-Circuit kind of series."He adds, "I've never seen a pair have so much fun before. It comes from Salman's genuine generosity. And also from the fact that I've been close friends with both Salman and Govinda for years and have done the maximum number of films with them individually."David admits he was apprehensive while bringing his two favourite actors together. "It often happens that you may like two people equally. But those two may not like one another. That wasn't the case with Salman and Govinda. They got along like a house on fire. I will use this chemistry again for sure, and not just once."So he's simply borrowing the Munnabhai-Circuit idea? Says David, "I've been making movies for 20 years. Partner is my 39th film. I've been around long enough to see trends change." David sees no problem in accommodating egos of any size on his set. Neither with Salman, nor with Govinda.
